This finder provides guidance based on Ocean Tailored sizing and typical thermal requirements. Wetsuit warmth can also be affected by wind, session duration, depth, movement, individual cold tolerance and local conditions. For scuba diving and very cold conditions, use the recommendation as a starting point and consider your dive profile and local professional guidance.

How to Measure
Use a soft tape measure and keep it snug but not tight. For the most accurate result, ask someone to help you.
- Height: Stand barefoot with your back against a wall and measure from the floor to the top of your head.
- Weight: Weigh yourself in light clothing, without shoes.
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest (or bust), under your armpits, with your arms relaxed and the tape level.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your belly button.
Wetsuit Booties Size Chart
Bootie sizes follow US men's shoe sizes. Booties should fit snug, with no loose space at the toes.
| Bootie Size (US Men's) | UK | EU | Foot Length (heel to toe) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 | 6 | 40 | 9 5/8" / 24.5 cm |
| 8 | 7 | 41 | 10" / 25.4 cm |
| 9 | 8 | 42.5 | 10 3/8" / 26.2 cm |
| 10 | 9 | 44 | 10 5/8" / 27.1 cm |
| 11 | 10 | 45 | 11" / 27.9 cm |
| 12 | 11 | 46.5 | 11 3/8" / 28.8 cm |
| 13 | 12 | 47.5 | 11 5/8" / 29.6 cm |
Women: subtract 1.5 from your US women's shoe size. For example, a women's US 8.5 is a bootie size 7.
If you wear a half size or are unsure, email us before you order.
Wetsuit Gloves Size Chart
Wrap a tape measure snugly around your hand at the knuckles, without the thumb. Measure your dominant hand.
| Glove Size | Hand Circumference (in) | Hand Circumference (cm) |
|---|---|---|
| S | 7.5–8 in | 19–20 cm |
| M | 8–8.5 in | 20–21.5 cm |
| L | 8.5–9 in | 21.5–23 cm |
| XL | 9–9.5 in | 23–24 cm |
Gloves should feel snug when dry, as neoprene relaxes slightly in the water. Between two sizes? Email us and we will help you choose.
You can add booties, gloves and mitts when you configure your wetsuit.
Standard Size or Custom Fit?
A well-fitted wetsuit is warmer, more flexible and more comfortable. It reduces water flushing and helps you hold your body temperature in the water.
Choose Custom Fit if:
- You are between two sizes
- Your chest and waist fall into different sizes
- Your height matches one size but your weight, chest or waist match another
- You have broad shoulders, long arms, long legs, or an athletic, muscular or tall build
- Standard wetsuits usually do not fit you well
- You want a performance second-skin fit with maximum flexibility, warmth and efficiency
Children's sizes are not part of our standard size chart, but we make custom-fit wetsuits for kids. Email us to get started.
How to Order Custom Fit
1. Download your measurement form
Men's Measurement Form (PDF)Women's Measurement Form (PDF)
You can also find all manual measurement forms and reference images in our shared folder.
2. Take your measurements
Measure by hand using the form and reference images, or use a TrueToForm 3D body scan on your phone. A 3D scan gives precise measurements, faster processing and less risk of measuring errors, which is especially helpful for performance athletes.
Watch the 3D scan tutorial on YouTube
3. Email us your details
Send your completed form or measurements to info@oceantailored.com and include:
- Height
- Weight
- Chest
- Waist
- Body shape
- Activity type
- Fit preference
- Wetsuit thickness
4. We review before production
Our team checks your measurements before your wetsuit goes into production. If you are confused between two sizes or need help with Custom Fit measurements, we can arrange a video call to personally explain how to measure your body correctly. This live support is especially helpful if the tutorial video is not enough or if you want professional guidance before ordering.
Important Fit Policy
All measurements are provided by the customer. Ocean Tailored manufactures the wetsuit based on the measurements or size selected during ordering. We are unable to offer exchanges, remakes, or refunds for wetsuit fit issues resulting from:
- Incorrect self-measurements
- Selecting a size that does not match the wetsuit size chart
- Choosing a standard size when Custom Fit was recommended
Still Not Sure?
If you are between sizes or unsure which size to choose, contact us before you order. Our team is happy to guide you before production.
