Frequently asked question
What is the estimated delivery time for Dream Wetsuit?
The delivery time for a Dream Wetsuit depends on the complexity of the project, design requirements, and level of customization involved. In most cases, Dream Wetsuit projects are completed and delivered within approximately 4–8 weeks.
For our regular custom wetsuits, the estimated delivery time is approximately 3–4 weeks from order placement, including production and shipping.
Which countries do you ship to, and are there any shipping restrictions?
Yes, we ship worldwide!
For orders heading to the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia, shipping and customs duties are on us. No surprises at checkout. If you're ordering from another region, local import taxes may apply, and you'll be responsible for those fees. Not sure about your location? Just reach out! We’re happy to help.
What are your shipping rates? Do you offer free shipping to certain regions?
For the USA, Canda, UK, Europe, and Australia, standard shipping is already included in the wetsuit price. No hidden costs. For all other locations, shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your destination.
Is there a warranty on your wetsuits? What does it include?
Yes. All Ocean Tailored wetsuits come with a one year warranty from the delivery date. This covers manufacturing defects and material flaws. It doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, improper care, or any post-purchase modifications. To make a claim, just send us proof of purchase (Order confirmation) within the warranty window.
Can I make changes to my custom wetsuit order after it’s been placed?
Because your suit is made just for you, production starts shortly after your order is submitted. For that reason, we’re unable to make changes once the order is placed. Please double-check your details before checking out, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help. We’re here for you.
Do you offer ready-to-ship wetsuits, or are all orders custom-made?
All Ocean Tailored wetsuits are made to order. Either in a custom fit (based on your measurements) or a standard size (via our size chart). This made-to-order model allows us to reduce material waste and avoid overproduction. A conscious stand against fast fashion.
Do you offer custom wetsuits for both children and adults?
Yes! We create custom wetsuits for men, women, and kids. Each tailored to fit like a glove.
If you're ordering for a child, just select “custom size” at checkout, and we’ll follow up with a quick measurement guide to make the process easy.
What type of neoprene do you use in your wetsuits?
We use premium Japanese Yamamoto limestone neoprene, known for its unmatched flexibility, durability, and eco-friendly profile. Unlike petroleum-based neoprene, Yamamoto is made from 99.7% calcium carbonate, making it better for the planet and your performance.
We use different Yamamoto grades depending on the activity:
- #39: Ideal for surfing, spearfishing, and freediving. Flexible, comfortable, and versatile.
- #40: Extra stretch for key movement zones like shoulders and arms in surf suits.
- #45: Denser, durable, and less buoyant. Perfect for diving.
Every suit is built with precision, using the best combination of materials for your sport.
How does Ocean Tailored incorporate sustainability in its materials and production?
Our neoprene is made from limestone, not oil. Reducing emissions and energy use during production. We operate on a made-to-order model, meaning less waste, no overstock, and more intention behind every piece. From sourcing to shipping, we strive to minimize our impact and protect the ocean we love.
Is your business model environmentally friendly and sustainable?
Absolutely. We combine premium, low-impact materials like Yamamoto neoprene with small-batch, made-to-order production. That means we only make what’s needed. No mass production, no unnecessary waste. Sustainability isn’t a trend for us. It’s a responsibility.
How should a wetsuit fit? How tight is ideal?
A wetsuit should feel like a second skin: snug, but never restrictive. You should be able to paddle, duck dive, and breathe freely, with just the right amount of compression for warmth and performance.
