Custom Warm-Water Impact Coverage for Kite, Wing, Foil, Windsurfing & Big Waves
Ocean Tailored Women's Hydro Guard Impact Spring Suit combines the freedom of a warm-water spring suit with a customizable EVA impact system for kitesurfing, kiteboarding, wing foiling, foiling, windsurfing, big wave surfing and other demanding water sports.
Built with full-length sleeves and an above-knee cut, it keeps the lower legs completely free while allowing substantial impact coverage to be configured across the upper body, torso, hips and thighs.
Choose one of our ready-designed Impact Setups for an easy starting point, or use the 3D Wetsuit Builder to create a more individual layout around your sport and the coverage you want.
Build Your Impact Coverage
The Hydro Guard system uses removable EVA inserts positioned across selected areas of the wetsuit.
Depending on your chosen configuration, impact panels can be added across areas including the chest, ribs, shoulders, upper arms, upper and lower back, hips and thighs.
When ordering directly from this page, you can choose from three ready-designed Impact Setups. Each uses a different arrangement of EVA panels, giving you a straightforward way to select your preferred coverage without building the entire suit from scratch.
If you want more control, the 3D Wetsuit Builder lets you choose individual available impact zones and create your own configuration.
Most impact areas use substantial 25mm EVA foam, while 12mm EVA is used selectively where a slimmer profile is better suited to the position and movement of the body.
The EVA inserts are also removable and replaceable, so individual panels can be taken out when they are not required or replaced later without replacing the complete wetsuit.
Designed for Warm-Water Riding
The Women's Hydro Guard Spring Suit is made for sessions where full-leg neoprene isn't necessary, but you still want the option of substantial impact coverage through key areas of the body.
For kitesurfing and windsurfing, the suit can be configured with cushioning around areas such as the torso, ribs, shoulders, back, hips and thighs while leaving the lower legs unrestricted.
For wing foiling and foiling, you can build the impact layout around the areas that matter to you without turning the suit into a heavily padded full wetsuit.
For big wave surfing and demanding warm-water surf conditions, more extensive upper-body and thigh coverage can be selected while retaining the lighter feel of an above-knee spring suit.
It gives you the Hydro Guard impact system in a format designed specifically for warmer water.
Impact Cushioning with Added Buoyancy
Closed cell EVA foam provides cushioning while also adding buoyant volume to the wetsuit.
The amount of additional buoyancy varies according to the number, thickness and position of the impact panels selected. This can provide additional support in the water while maintaining the freedom of a warm-water spring suit.
Important: Hydro Guard is a performance wetsuit incorporating optional EVA impact foam. It is not a certified personal flotation device (PFD), life jacket, buoyancy aid or certified protective equipment. It is not designed or certified to prevent drowning or injury. Always use appropriate certified safety equipment for your activity and conditions.
Hooded or Hoodless
Choose your Women's Hydro Guard Impact Spring Suit hoodless or with an integrated hood, depending on your conditions and personal preference.
Whichever configuration you choose, the impact system remains fully customizable.
Optional Rescue Handle
An optional reinforced Rescue Handle, originally developed following requests from big wave surfers, can be positioned high on the back.
It provides an additional dedicated grip point when another person is assisting the rider from the water.
Premium Yamamoto Construction
Underneath the impact system is a premium women's wetsuit patterned around women's proportions and designed to maintain flexibility through the areas that move most.
Yamamoto #40 is used through the shoulders and arms for stretch and mobility.
Yamamoto #39 is used through the core for warmth, flexibility and comfort.
Construction includes Glued and Blind Stitched seams where applicable, internal seam taping, premium YKK zipper hardware, wrist grip seals and strategic reduced-panel construction.
The result is a purpose-built women's spring suit first, with the Hydro Guard impact system integrated into the design rather than simply added on top.
